The History of Citations and Single-Pilot Citations Cessna Aircraft earned FAR Part 25 transport category type certification for its Citation 500 fanjet in September 1971 and for its Model 550 Citation II in March 1978. Part 25 aircraft must have at least two crewmembers in the cockpit because of the need to have a back-up in the event of crew incapacitation. The pilot-in-command must have an aircraft type-rating, but the second-in-command need only meet the requirements of Part 61.55. |

Frequently Askled Questions Q. Where is RESCO Air located? A: RESCO Air is located in sunny Las Cruces, NM. We typically travel to your location to do your training. Q: How much does it cost for a type rating? A: This really depends on your flight experience and if you already have a type rating. If this is your first type rating, expect more time in the classroom to get up to speed on aircraft systems. An examiner will do a thorough evaluation of systems knowledge on an initial type rating. If you are a type rated pilot in another aircraft, the training and check ride are much shorter. So, bottom line, it varies from pilot to pilot. |
